Happy Labor Day!
Welcome to the 44th post about the Tales of The Traveling Tote. We are a group of women who post usually 4 times a year and share our tote's adventures. Some of us are lucky enough to have met some of the gals in real life. I hope to connect with each one in the future.
Paul and I haven't really traveled since last year. We take small side trips. We might be visiting Paul's former college roommate and his wife in Arizona in December. We do have a trip planned next year for a wedding in New Jersey. I hope to hop over to New York as well.
Pottery World
We visit Pottery World here and there to see their displays and shop. They are decorated for fall plus some Halloween. I love visiting at Christmas. It usually is a winter wonderland.
Such cute pumpkin decor. This scene greets everyone who enters.
High - Hand Nursery
Indulge in the wonder of our Nursery, where you’ll encounter an extraordinary assortment of specimen Japanese maples, conifers, succulents, topiaries, hanging baskets, and more
K1Speed
Paul, Jason and I visited K1 Speed go kart racing in Sacramento. I decided to not race due to some sciatic pain recently. I watched and took some photos.
Their nationwide indoor go kart racing locations are open to the general public 7 days a week when not reserved for a private event. Our Arrive & Drive racing allows individuals to come in and compete for the fastest lap against friends, family and other racers. First time drivers will receive a mandatory briefing session on rules and safety.
Paul snapped a photo of me and Miss Lola by the nascar. They enjoy racing around the track. My son Jason was so much faster than Paul.
OZ Korean Barbecue
After go kart, racing, we went to OZ Korean Barbecue for lunch. They have a wonderful set for lunch, all you can eat with a grill within 2 hours.
This Korean restaurant also has robot named Bellabot who serves food.
Sarah is hosting the Sept 1st GIVEAWAY, so make sure you visit her and leave a comment. on her blog. Below are the gals participating.

Linda, like you, we've just been doing small local trips. I always enjoy seeing your Pottery World through the seasons. The K1 Speed looked fun!! Happy September to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteLove the Bellabot - what will they think of next? If you visit NJ/NY next year let me know as maybe I can scoot down for a quick visit - our totes miss each other!! I wish Old world was in our area - looks fabulous, a fun store to stroll around! Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteHaving had a pinched nerve for more than five weeks I feel your sciatic pain.Take care.Pottery World looks great.I have one of the planters. But she is longer🩷
ReplyDeletehi linda love the traveling tote! xo laura in Colorado
ReplyDeleteYou've had a lot of fun even though you haven't been traveling Linda! Pottery World looks like a place I could get lost in for hours, and their restaurant looks really nice. I would definitely watch rather than race go-karts, and I don't think I'm ready to have a robot bring me my food, amazing! Happy September~
ReplyDeleteJenna
You have a world of entertainment around you there in sunny Cali, lots to keep you busy while not on the road. I would love to go to Pottery World, I'm afraid Jim might never find me in there. Love the Halloween decorations. Go carts were fun when we were kiddos but I'd pass on that one too. Love the hydrangea tree and oh what a great nursery to visit. I guess Bellabot is the future which is upon us! Happy September Linda.........
ReplyDeleteYou and your Lola had a great trip. Pottery World looks like a great place to visit. Ha Ha I even without sciatica would not dare do go karting anymore and would have passed on that too. The Bellabots have not made it here yet but I am sure at some point they will. Happy Labor Day. Have a great new week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Pottery World has its own cafe. It must be a really special place to visit. Karen (Back Road Journal)
ReplyDeleteLinda we have robots bringing us food in several restaurants here in Florida. Luckily, the servers walk with the robots and hand serve us the food. Our robots just do the heavy lifting and carrying the large trays of goods to the table. It is a good thing I don't live near Pottery World....what fun I could have but knowing I don't have storage space for one more thing allows me to think a bit more clearly. LOL. Years and years ago we had a go-kart track at an amusement park but the first time one of the karts hit the back of mine...I was out of there and would never get on another one. I leave that to the good ole' boys. You and Lola look lovely. Have a great week and enjoy the Holiday.
ReplyDeleteEvery time you visit Pottery World, I wish I could steal away, tuced inside Miss Lola! What a grand time. I love visiting spots like this at both harvest and Christmas -- they always do such a great job!
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day Linda! Pottery World looks like my kind of shopping, from fall décor, Halloween and nursery/plant items. I would rather watch rather than race go-karts, so sorry to hear about your sciatica pain! Looking forward to hopping with you tomorrow. 🍽️🍂
ReplyDeletePottery world would be on my list as well...Happy Labor Day..
ReplyDeleteLinda, Pottery World looks to be a fun place to shop. Love seeing the Halloween displays, and that first photo has sparked an idea with some of my own Halloween things that I will bring out late September. A garden center is always a special visit for me. I would love to add a hydrangea tree to my garden. Do you have any in your garden? Sorry to hear you are having sciatic pain. Take care! Good idea not to get in a fast race car.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along on these fun outings. Happy September!
What a fun post, and I love seeing all the Halloween decor. I'm ready for fall! If you like NASCAR, you must come to Alabama. We have Talladega AND here in Birmingham, we have the Barber Motersports Park, and you can race there. My car is actually modified (chipped) for increased horse power, and I have the air induction system so I can drive my car around the track and be lap-timed (haha). Y'all come see us!
ReplyDeleteHappy September, Linda. Pottery World is a destination it appears. I love day trips, looks like you have had a fun summer!
ReplyDeleteYou always find fun things to do Linda! I'd be drawn to Pottery World especially when they have their Halloween and Christmas decorations on display. However I get overwhelmed at Hobby Lobby lol. My mom loved Halloween and so do I. I hope we can meet up with you and Paul when you go to New Jersey and New York! Wishing and you a nice autumn.
ReplyDeleteYour traveling tote posts are always so much fun! Pottery World is very pretty, every time you share it, I find myself wishing we had one nearby. Speaking of being nearby, if you do scoot into NY I hope you'll let me know. It's a big state, but you might be close by and I'd love a chance to say hello in person!!
ReplyDeleteI would love visiting Pottery World and eating in the cafe. The Korean BBQ place looked like a great place, too, Linda. I don’t know if I’d like racing, but I’m sure the guys had fun. Happy September!
ReplyDeleteGirl you know I love pottery world for three decades! Cute pic of you at the track, like a vavavoom girl rooting for your men. Looks like a great time for all 😊
ReplyDeleteLinda, that Pottery World look so festive and I would love visiting there. How fun to go racing with the guys and go for Korean BBQ. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
