A little Spode and More

I have dressed up our display cabinet in our dining room.  The cabinets are wall to wall with plenty of room for dishes, flatware and napkins. Spode has some beautiful dishes in all different critters. I happened to choose the pheasant .  All of the designs are  lovely. I hope to add a few more pieces. I also have the turkey platter.

In 2018 I set our Thanksgiving table with the Spode Woodland Pheasant plates along with copper chargers and feather placemats.  You can see this post Here.

Woodland Pheasant and American Atelier Athena along with Chris Madden.

The table is ready for family entertaining.

I dressed this pretty wooden box my husband made with neutral flowers, a little orange and the American Atelier  Athena Turkey Tureen. I have the dishes to match, also another soup tureen, a teapot, sugar and creamer and gravy boat.

You can see more of this box below.  I wanted an elegant box with feet, so my handy hubby went to work. Instructions are included in this link.

I also decorated our outdoor buffet my husband built.  It's quite handy during the summer months for entertaining. He also added lights. He is slowly building another buffet for down at the pool.  We can blame Jain from A Quiet Life for inspiring me.
Another view of our Japanese maple we save when we remodeled our kitchen.  I love the bright warm colors. Enjoy the rest  of your week.

  5. Linda, it is such a delight to see your beautiful outdoor areas as well as your interiors. The wall of dinning room display cabinet is a perfect spot to display your wonderful collections of dishes. I happened upon a pair of the pheasant salad plates at a local consignment shop near Sadie's vet. They are my inspiration for our Thanksgiving table this year. I'd love to find the large American Atelier pheasant tureen if you ever find a source. Love your turkey one too! The large ones make a beautiful statement. Your shelves look fabulous!

  7. Wow, Linda! Truly a resort-like atmosphere! The Spode china is so handsome, all the different patterns. A dealer buddy and I laugh of our dish addictions. He told me he just sold a complete service for 8 in the fox (darn it!), still has the turkey pattern in his booth, and a complete set of the Johnson Bros Windsor Ware. Your outdoor buffet is so nice! Paul works wonders, and that tabletop box is great. Love the bun feet on it.
