Dazzle and Dine: A Blingy Silver and Gold Thanksgiving Tablescape!
Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, delicious food, and gathering with loved ones. But who says it can't also be a time for glamour and sparkle? This year, I decided to swap the traditional rustic browns and oranges for a tablescape dripping in luxurious silver and brilliant gold—because, as you know, I simply love a little (or a lot!) of bling!
The Foundation: Shimmer and Shine
Every spectacular tablescape starts with the perfect base, and this year, I went all out for maximum shimmer!
The Tablecloth: I began with a beautiful, shimmering silver tablecloth. This sets a cool, elegant tone and reflects the light beautifully. The Table Runner: To layer on the gold, I chose a blingy, highly textured table runner adorned with chunky gold pumpkins. It instantly ups the ante on the glamour factor and provides a rich contrast against the silver.
Dramatic Centerpiece: Crystal & Light
The centerpiece is where the magic truly happens, creating height and drama that will capture every guest's eye.
The Vases: I'm using elegant Crystal Trumpet Flower Vases—their clear, graceful shape is perfect for adding that formal touch. They are overflowing with lush, textural florals in rich shades of gold, bronze, and silver. This mix ensures a complex, high-end look rather than a flat single tone. The Pumpkins & Candles: The space between the vases is filled with an array of beautiful crystal pumpkins. Their facets catch the light and multiply the sparkle! Interspersed with these are tall, candles in stylish silver and gold holders, ready to cast a warm, cozy glow over the feast.
Place Settings: Layers of Luxury
The plate stack is where you can truly show off your attention to detail and layering skills!
The Placemats: Starting from the bottom, the placemats have a beautiful leaf design in warm tones of gold, bronze, cream, and a little burgundy. This is my subtle nod to the fall season and provides a lovely, textured layer before the plates. The Plates: It's all about the gold! The stack is composed of grand gold dinner plates, topped with perfectly matching gold salad plates and bowls.
The Detail: The final, festive touch? A petite gold glass pear resting inside the bowl. It's an unexpected element that adds a beautiful, sophisticated weight to the setting.
No glamorous table is complete without the perfect finishing accessories!
Napkins & Accents: The napkins are a lavish shimmering gold material—soft, rich, and luxurious. They are neatly folded and held with pretty silver bows, creating a perfect little package of mixed metals!Goblets & Flatware: The glassware adds another beautiful opportunity to mix the metals. Guests will be sipping wine from elegant gold goblets and staying hydrated with water from sparkling silver goblets. The meal will be enjoyed using sleek silver flatware, completing the cohesive, high-end look.

A spectacular display and table in silver and gold Linda…I don’t know where to look first! I think my favorite element on your table are those stunning crystal pumpkins for the pillar candles, so elegant. So much sparkle and shimmer from the vases, placemats, tablecloth and goblets! As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy November 🦃🍂🧡
ReplyDeleteWow, Linda! Talk about sophistication and glamour galore! I would feel underdressed coming to your table in anything less than cocktail formal. It's a magnificent display of your style, and I think you up'd your own ante with all the elements you've put on this table! It truly is one thay catches the eye and light with all the faceted detail. I love how you subtly added the autumnal beaded placemats and glass pears & pumpkins, acknowledging the Thankagiving holiday. Otherwise, this table would work for Christmas, New Year's, or even a wedding party. Beautiful, and I bet even more so in candlelight and no overhead lights for an intimate setting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for bringing your glamorous style to this blog hop, always.
Just gorgeous, Linda. You always do holidays beautifully! Like you- I like a little bling for the holidays. This year will be at my daughter's home and she does a spectacular job of hostessing. I do miss doing it myself but also appreciate that she loves the holidays as much as I do. Both my daughters entertain beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Tuesday! xo Diana
Linda your charming silver and gold theme is beautiful and timelessly elegant. Your tall vases create such a stunning centerpiece and I love the golden pears! I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Linda! Your table is the vision of sophisticated oppulance! I love mixing silver and gold and you have really done it well. Everything from jewelled pumpkins, the gold pears on each gorgeous place setting, and silver threads running through the tablecloth are stunning.
