Hint of Spring

Our fur babies, Bella and Dante outside with their matching sweaters.
Lots of buds.

We recently visited Green Acres, a nursery.  We picked up 4  Spring Bouquet Viburnum plants to help fill in our privacy hedge.
This hedge is down at the pool runs along the pool patio and sand volleyball court.
It is getting ready to flower.

The rosemary is in bloom.  I just trimmed back a section out by our round table.
My husband was trimming the wisteria. I already trimmed the Creeping Fig by our pool waterfall.  Every year, I climb inside and hack back the growth taking over the waterfall.
More trimming is needed, however it's too cold to wade in there and trim the Creeping Fig.

Since we had a lot of lemons, I have been making lots of things with lemons.  Caesar Chicken salad, Salmon en Papillote, lemon cupcakes, etc.

The Salmon en Papillote was made with orzo, black olives, tomatoes, lemon juice and pesto.  The salmon fillets sit on a bed of cooked orzo and baked in parchment paper. The broccoli was made using my timbale recipe.

My husband and I received our first Covid vaccine. We both just experienced a sore arm.  We go back in 3 weeks for the second shot.

  4. Your garden is so pretty! I'm happy that y'all did well with the vaccine. My husband was pretty sick from the first one for about 24 hours, then he was fine. I probably won't get it due to allergies.

  8. Well it looks like paradise..thank goodness I still like winter and it's winter white beauty in the country or I would be almost devastated with envy:)

  9. I think the whole country is winter weary so your garden photos are a breath of needed fresh air! I'm glad you're enjoying all those lemons, wonderful way to brighten and lighten everything. I can't wait until it's swimming season again, and the flamingos are wonderful by your pool. The sweater pups are adorable!
