Beautiful Hoop Place Cards

These  hoop place cards are quite elegant for a dinner party, celebration, etc.  You can change them up how you like them. They fit perfectly on a salad plate.

I bought a package of 4 - 6 inch floral craft rings at Michaels. You can probably find them anywhere online.

I had some leftover Christmas picks, leaves and ribbon so I was able to just create these with things I had on hand.  You start by wrapping the wooden hoops with ribbon. After the entire hoop is covered in ribbon, I swing the ribbon across and then hot glue it to one side.  That is where the name goes.

Feel free to use raffia, twine, etc to wrap the hoops.  I am sure you can also use mini wreaths, quilt rings, anything round about 6 inches.

You start glueing the leaves and florals to the left side of the hoop. Feel free to add little birds, bird nest, etc. These would be great for any holiday, just change out the design elements to match each holiday.

How about using Chalkboard ribbon, where you can use a chalk pen to write the names.  Erase and re-use them.

Another option is chalkboard labels.  Hobby Lobby has them.

For some of these I printed out labels to attach to the ribbon. Others I just attached the labels directly to the hoop.

I created the labels I used.  Here is the link: When printing, be sure to uncheck size to fit. It should print out a full page of labels.  I used card stock which is heavier.
The label's look like this below. You can cut them out and write your own name or attach them to the ribbon like above.

This one I used Mackenzie Child's ribbon and a label. You change it up a bit where you want to add the florals.  side, top or bottom.
I hope you try making these pretty hoop place cards.
Happy Holidays.

Stay tuned for my snowman tablescape.

  4. They're so clever, Linda, and very pretty. These look like they'd go together relatively fast (though wrapping ribbon can be harder than it seems!)
