Purple & Green Garden Elegance

As summer arrives, I find myself drawn to gardens filled with blooming flowers, lush greenery, and soft lavender hues. This tablescape captures that feeling with layers of green toile, vibrant florals, and elegant accessories that create a relaxed yet sophisticated setting.

The foundation of the table is a beautiful green toile tablecloth from Amazon. The soft botanical pattern immediately set the tone for the entire design and provided the perfect backdrop for layering. I added a lovely lavender table runner on top of the green toile.

For each place setting, I used Portobello plates featuring purple floral accents. The plates pair beautifully with purple chargers from Amazon, adding depth and richness to the table. I love how the various shades of purple create visual interest without overwhelming the soft green tones of the tablecloth

The floral arrangement is a simple mixture of fresh blooms gathered from our local grocery store. Shades of lavender, purple, pink, and green create a relaxed garden-style bouquet that feels perfectly suited for summer entertaining. Sometimes the simplest flowers make the biggest impact when combined with colors that work harmoniously together.

The napkins combine two coordinating shades of purple—a light lavender layered with a deeper, richer purple. Vintage Z Gallerie napkin rings add a touch of sparkle and elegance. Although I've had these napkin rings for years, they remain one of my favorite accessories for dressing up a table.

Green goblets from the Dollar Store continue the garden-inspired color palette and provide an inexpensive way to add another layer of color to the table. The purple compotes are from the Pioneer collection.

To anchor the centerpiece, I placed green and white ginger jars from Walmart along the center of the table. Their classic design adds height and symmetry while complementing the green toile pattern beautifully. I also added two topiaries on each side of the ginger jars.
One of my favorite things about this table is that it combines affordable finds with treasured pieces collected over time. The mix of old and new, along with the fresh floral centerpiece, creates a welcoming table that's perfect for summer gatherings with family and friends.

Stay tuned on June 9th for a Summer Tablescape Blog Hop

  2. Absolutely a gorgeous combination of both color and mix of high/low end elements! I would have never guessed WM or even Amazon. The DT glassware I also have, and that was my only clue there. Beautiful, Linda!

  11. You have me with this one! One of my very favorite spring/summer colors --green and lavender. I love the way you have put everything together with old and new mixed in. What a beautiful tablescape. I love all toile no matter the color . I just gave my son an antique French chair and matching ottoman with old brass wheels. I had it recovered years ago with a soft cream and lavender toile. He has a beautiful formal library and that is now their reading chair. Love that he can enjoy it like I did for years.
Have a beautiful weekend. xo Diana
