Springtime Splendor: A Symphony of Blooms. This post is picture intensive!
Spring has sprung, and my garden is bursting with color and fragrance! From the vibrant hues of bearded iris to the delicate charm of marguerite daisies, every corner is a feast for the senses. We live in zone 9b just for reference.
Let's take a stroll through my springtime paradise:Aromatic Delights: The air is filled with the sweet scent of lavender, mingling with the honeyed fragrance of sweet broom.Nestled amongst their textured bases, the Rock Rose and Marguerite Daisies offer a delightful interplay of color and form. The bright pink of the Rock Rose seems to echo the sun's intensity, adding a vibrant splash against the deep green of the Sago Palms. Meanwhile, the delicate, daisy-like blooms of the Marguerite Daisies, in sunny yellow bring a touch of carefree coastal charm. They soften the more structured look of the sago palms, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
My husband created these pavers years ago. The path leads to the spa.
Japanese spiraea is a deciduous shrub that can grow to a height of 4-6 feet. The leaves are ovate and alternating on the stem; its eye-catching blooms are a rosy-pink color and in rare cases can also be white. Flowers only occur on new wood.
The Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans), with its vigorous growth and flamboyant trumpet-shaped flowers, is a real showstopper along your pool walkway.
Lady bank roses in white by our gate.
A nice variety of beaded iris with thanks to Jain from A Quiet Life blog.
There you have it. Happy spring.🌺🌻

Gorgeous, Linda! You have such varieties. I wasn't familiar with sweet broom, so I looked it up. I love how mature and densely planted your property is. You & Paul have and continue to work hard maintaining such a beautiful property and landscape. What zone are you? I had viburnum in our former landscape and it was deciduous for us, but always came back each year. This post was a treat to see more of your gardens.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda love seeing your beautiful garden. So many different and interesting foliage. Fun to see the pool getting ready for summer fun. All is beautiful. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris
