Springtime Splendor: A Symphony of Blooms. This post is picture intensive!
Spring has sprung, and my garden is bursting with color and fragrance! From the vibrant hues of bearded iris to the delicate charm of marguerite daisies, every corner is a feast for the senses. We live in zone 9b just for reference.
Let's take a stroll through my springtime paradise:Aromatic Delights: The air is filled with the sweet scent of lavender, mingling with the honeyed fragrance of sweet broom.Nestled amongst their textured bases, the Rock Rose and Marguerite Daisies offer a delightful interplay of color and form. The bright pink of the Rock Rose seems to echo the sun's intensity, adding a vibrant splash against the deep green of the Sago Palms. Meanwhile, the delicate, daisy-like blooms of the Marguerite Daisies, in sunny yellow bring a touch of carefree coastal charm. They soften the more structured look of the sago palms, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
Around the pool's edge, sago palms create a tropical vibe, while rock roses and marguerite daisies add a touch of whimsy.
My husband created these pavers years ago. The path leads to the spa.
Japanese spiraea is a deciduous shrub that can grow to a height of 4-6 feet. The leaves are ovate and alternating on the stem; its eye-catching blooms are a rosy-pink color and in rare cases can also be white. Flowers only occur on new wood.
The Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans), with its vigorous growth and flamboyant trumpet-shaped flowers, is a real showstopper along your pool walkway.
Lady bank roses in white by our gate.
A nice variety of beaded iris with thanks to Jain from A Quiet Life blog.
There you have it. Happy spring.🌺🌻

Gorgeous, Linda! You have such varieties. I wasn't familiar with sweet broom, so I looked it up. I love how mature and densely planted your property is. You & Paul have and continue to work hard maintaining such a beautiful property and landscape. What zone are you? I had viburnum in our former landscape and it was deciduous for us, but always came back each year. This post was a treat to see more of your gardens.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda love seeing your beautiful garden. So many different and interesting foliage. Fun to see the pool getting ready for summer fun. All is beautiful. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow Linda, spring look so beautiful on your property. It's so nice that your hubby is so handy and made that pathway to the spa. I love all of your flowers, sculptures, and the pool looks amazing. Wishing you a happy spring.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! I am just swooning!! I can't imagine how wonderful it is to have such beauty in your own backyard! You and your husband have surely done such an amazing job on every single thing. I so enjoyed seeing it all!
ReplyDeletePicture intensive and lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful plethora of blooms! Looks again..like a sought after resort:)
ReplyDeleteThe most amazing thing about this post is that with all the glorious photos -- so much color and beauty -- I know you have only scratched the surface and given us only a bit of your beautiful gardens. They are stunning in every way. I loved how you described the fragrance. That is one of the best parts of spring, isn't it, smelling all the goodness after months of not!
ReplyDeleteLovely Linda! How beautiful to have so many blooming shrubs! The pretty scents they give off are a treat! Your gardens and pathways are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI always gasped at all the beauty, Linda! I know you and your hubby have made all this so welcoming and inviting. Does someone help you maintain it?
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend!
Absolutely stunning photos, Linda! I am so happy to have found you again! You and I used to follow one another's blogs years ago when I had Linda's Peaceful Place. I have had no computer for over 7 years, and due to the amount of time that had elapsed, I lost access to my old blog. I started a new blog at the end of March, Linda's Relaxing Lair. The link is in my profile. I have missed being in touch, it has been so long. Warm greetings from a 68 year old lady in Montreal, Canada. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda, your gardens are amazing with color and variety! You and Paul have designed a wonderful place to awaken all the senses. Breathtaking beauty, thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteYour gardens are beautiful! Ours are finally getting some green and some buds. Spring has been slow in springing up here this year.
