Moss Covered Basket

I have been wanting to cover a basket for awhile now.  I bought some preserved moss at the Safeway.
Sometimes, they have some great sales.  This is preserved moss and it is mostly sheets in a package, some loose piece.  It makes it easier to cover items.

I used hot glue to attach the moss to the basket. Tuck in some flowers and you have a  springy basket.

I carried the basket outside and the photo looks so much better.  Maybe I need to start taking all of my photos outside.

I used mostly three packages of this moss.  You can see, I did not cover the insides.
I figured the flowers would hide it.

You can get carried away covering different items around your house with moss.  Shoes, bowl's, hats, etc.

  16. Linda - I love your moss covered basket! When our daughter got married we covered the food table entirely in moss (what a job...) and had round wood slabs on it to hold the trays of foods. I have a pot of moss growing indoors and love it - such magical material.
