Brave Star Books and a Special Christmas Giveaway

There are some gifts that are extra special because they come straight from the heart. This Christmas, I am excited to introduce you to a wonderful company that is making children feel extra special, one storybook at a time.

When John from Brave Star Books reached out to me, I was immediately drawn to his mission. His company creates personalized children's books where each child becomes the star of their very own adventure. Even more meaningful, the company gives back to help fight childhood cancer.

Disclosure: Brave Star Books is providing the giveaway book at no cost. This post also contains an affiliate link, which means I may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through my link, at no additional cost to you.

A Cause Close to My Heart

Cancer has touched my life in a very personal way. I have faced cancer four times: ovarian cancer twice, thyroid cancer once, and skin cancer once.

I know firsthand how a cancer diagnosis can change your world. It brings uncertainty, challenges, and moments when encouragement and hope mean so much.

While I have experienced my own cancer journey, my heart goes out to children and families facing this difficult road. Childhood should be filled with imagination, laughter, books, and magical adventures. That is why I was so happy to learn about what John is doing through Brave Star Books.

Meet Brave Star Books

Brave Star Books creates beautifully illustrated, personalized storybooks that put children right in the middle of the adventure.

Imagine a child opening a book and discovering that the little hero in the illustrations looks just like them

Each book is personalized with the child's name and likeness, making the reading experience truly their own. Families can also add a dedication and preview every page before the book is printed.

Choose Your Child's Story

Every book stars your little one, illustrated across all 28 pages, and every book carries a gentle value all its own.

Each book is written at two reading levels, and you choose one when you order: Little (ages 1 to 4, with one rhyming couplet per page) or Full (ages 5 to 8, with the complete story). Both options include the same 28 illustrations and are offered at the same price.

It's a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading while giving a child something they can treasure.

How does it work?

You choose a story, provide your child's first name and age, and upload a clear photo of their face. After checkout, your child is illustrated throughout the 28 pages and you receive a full preview. Nothing is printed until you approve every page.

The Heart Behind the Mission

John's inspiration came from seeing a young child battling cancer in a video in 2020. The experience moved him deeply and inspired him to find a way to help.

He began shaving his head every September in support of children fighting childhood cancer and sponsoring a family facing the challenges of the disease.

He eventually wanted to create something that could continue making a difference throughout the year. That inspiration led to Brave Star Books.

Today, 5% of every book sold is donated to help fight childhood cancer.

I love that something as joyful as a personalized children's book can also help support such an important cause.
