Christmas in July With King of Christmas

Who says we have to wait until December to experience the magic of a beautifully styled Christmas tree? Around here, we love any excuse to celebrate, and Christmas in July is the absolute perfect time to shake things up.

When the team at King of Christmas graciously gifted me their 6.5' Duchess Blue Flock  Christmas Tree, with 500 warm LED lights. my mind didn’t instantly go to traditional red and green velvet. Instead, looking out at the warm summer sun, I was completely inspired to take this stunning, colorful tree in a breezy, elegant coastal direction.

*Note- These King of Christmas  trees are not meant for outdoors. I set this tree up for night-time viewing. I snapped a few photos and then carted it up to our Breakfast room.  I wanted to give a beachy, coastal vibe with the tree by our pool.

If you’ve been on the fence about trying a colored or heavily flocked tree, let me show you how I styled this blue beauty for a summer-inspired holiday look!

Just in case you are wondering why our two new rattan hanging lights are not hanging over the table, when we expand the table, they are perfectly centered over the table.

First Impressions: Out of the Box

The Duchess Blue Flock is an absolute showstopper. If you aren't familiar with the King of Christmas Duchess collection, these trees feature a rich, vibrant colored base nestled under incredibly heavy, cotton-based flocking. The result is a gorgeous, frosted pastel effect that feels both modern and luxurious.

Here is what came packed inside the box:

  • The sturdy metal tree stand- this Blue Duchess flocked tree came with a white stand.
  • Three easily manageable tree sections, marked A, B & C.
  • A custom storage bag for the off-season.  A wonderful way to store your Christmas tree.
  • A remote control & foot pedal for the lighting modes with 8 lighting modes, timer and a dimming function.
  • A pair of protective fluffing gloves (a total lifesaver!) A manual with instructions.
At 6.5 feet tall and 46 inches wide, it is the ultimate "standard full" profile. It has plenty of presence without completely overtaking a room, making it an ideal size for cozy nooks, dining room corners, or secondary living spaces.

Here is the Blue Duchess Christmas tree set up in our Breakfast room.

The Setup: Instant Glow with Power Pole Technology

One of my absolute favorite features of this tree is the Power Pole technology. Gone are the days of hunting through the center of a tree to find matching light plugs for each section. You simply drop the bottom section into the stand, slide the middle section directly into the core pole, and the electrical connection is automatically made. Easy peasy!

It is pre-lit with 500 warm white micro-LED lights that are professionally hand-strung. The warm, soft glow cuts beautifully through the icy blue tones of the heavy flocking, giving the entire tree a high-end, professionally styled look before you even hang a single ornament. Plus, the remote lets you toggle through 8 different lighting functions (from a steady warm glow to a gentle twinkle). I absolutely love how it looks.

If you are looking to elevate your holiday decor with something unexpected, the answer is a resounding yes. The quality of King of Christmas trees is always outstanding, but the Duchess Blue Flock genuinely brings a designer edge to the table. The micro-LEDs look seamless, the fullness after shaping is wonderful, and the color is incredibly upscale.

It has completely transformed our space for this Christmas in July celebration, and I am already dreaming up a totally different way to style it when December finally rolls around!

How about a  Peacock themed tree for Christmas?

Disclosure: King of Christmas gifted me this tree in exchange for an honest review.  As always, all design concepts and opinions are entirely my own.*A huge thank you to King of Christmas for gifting this gorgeous tree!

A Quick Tip for My Fellow Stylists

If you're jumping on the Christmas in July train, try setting up your tree near a window where the natural summer afternoon light can filter through the branches. The combination of daylight mixed with the warm micro-LED glow makes the frosted blue tips absolutely radiant.

Are you a fan of traditional green trees, or are you ready to take the plunge into a gorgeous colored flock this year? Let me know in the comments below! As you see from below, I am a huge King of Christmas fan.
