National Waffle Day | Life and Linda

National Waffle Day

Happy National Waffle Day
The first United States patent for a waffle iron was issued to Cornelius Swarthout of Troy, New York on August 24, 1869.  In honor of this anniversary, National Waffle Day is observed each year on August 24th.

I recently bought the Dash Waffle Bowl Maker.  You can get so creative with this.  Make Breakfast bowl, Taco Bowls, Ice Cream bowls plus more.

  2. We love waffles at our house, but I admit to making pancakes more often than waffles. I like the bowl style maker--very interesting! Happy Waffle Day! ♥

    1. Hi Gina, these were new to me too. I love the idea. I cannot wait to make breakfast bowls and taco bowls. You can add a flour tortilla in there to make a crispy bowl.

  7. Your waffle bowl looks so tasty, Linda! The mini animal faces are adorable, too. I have a heart shaped waffle maker which I haven't used on a long time.
