Creating A Dreamy Bathroom

As some of you know, we have been working on our guest bathroom. We wanted to give this bathroom an updated look with style and grace.  It is coming along.  We are waiting for the plumber to install the knobs for the shower.  The glass  comes in tomorrow. I shall be posting it as soon as I have the finished components in place.

Now days, there are so many choices to create your very own dream bathroom.

We did not need a tub in this particular bathroom, so we opted for a large roomy walk in shower. If I was choosing a tub, I would pick something totally different, however luxurious.
Bath tubs are such a luxury.  I do enjoy a soak after a day  of working in the garden.  Calgon take me away! Clawfoot tubs appeal to those who love a vintage look.  Does a farmhouse look appeal to you?
I think touring model homes also gives us some insight into different bathroom styles.  Remember just because a bathroom is small,  it doesn't mean it cannot have that luxury feel and look.
A new coat of paint does wonders, along with new knobs.

These tubs are calling my name.  I can envision such a tub filled with scented bubble bath and a glass of wine to relax me more.

Maybe a unique vanity with vessel sinks. Wouldn't it be nice to have different homes we could decorate?  We could try out different styles. Would you choose dark or light? This style below is :

Add some cool faucets.  There are so many styles to select from. I tend to gravitate towards the bronze tones.  however if I wanted to  have a totally new design, I would be brave to try something very different.
Accessories really make your bathroom dreamy.  Adding a pretty candle and soft fluffy towels make you and your guests feel special.
I have guests robes available for our guests.  Fresh flowers add a very special touch.  Creating a basket of bath goodies is always welcoming.

I love chandeliers in bathrooms.  It is the icing on the cake.
The photo below is our other guest bathroom downstairs
with an added crystal chandelier.

Making your bathroom comfortable, dreamy and relaxing is the key. What is your style?

  1. Linda, I love the first photo and I would do something like this if I were building or remodeling. So many wonderful tubs it would be hard to choose. Love your options here........

  3. I had a clawfoot tub once in Winnipeg. It wasn't a luxury bathroom, just old, lol! But I must admit, that was the comfiest tub I ever had for soaking in.

  4. I like the farmhouse look but it too will soon be an old style. I like the dish tub you have pictured, then you lost me at the wine fountain.

  5. I would so love to take a bath in your downstairs bathroom, Linda. I would also love a chandelier above my bathtub, as I am not a shower person. Your bathroom is dreamy!!

It is easy to get into a hurry and make snap decisions and then have regrets later.
