Living With Thanksgiving Blog Makover

Recently Bonnie from Living With Thanksgiving contacted me about giving her blog a makeover.  I shared different templates with Bonnie. We talked about colors, style, a new header and also getting rid of Blogspot and getting her own domain.

There are many benefits of owning your own domain name. I can write a post about it.  As always I do recommend GoDaddy.
I can point you to the first year for $1.18.  After that, it is $10-12 a year. You do not lose anything on your blog.  You don't have to tell people you changed names either.

LIVING WITH THANKSGIVING

Bonnie loves this pretty color and she also  loves hydrangeas.  Her gardens are lovely.  if you don't know Bonnie, be sure to visit and say hello.

I also created a custom subscribe box, along with a signature.
She has a search button built into the menu bar and social media buttons at the top.

Customized by me, also known as My Fairy Blog Mother
If you are interested in tweaking your blog, feel free to contact me.

I also want to thank the bloggers who commented about gallstones and surgery.  I think more input from people who have had experiences  this or know someone who has struggled through this, is extremely helpful.  Thank you.

  1. I've been thinking about changing out of Blogspot and having you redo my blog. Can you do a post sometime about the benefits of getting out of Blogspot? Thanks in advance. R/sharon

    1. I sure can. There are great benefits and I can point you to buying your custom domain for only $1.18 for the first year. After that, it is $10-12 a year. With a custom domain comes the facility to use custom domain based email address. You can have an email address of your domain name like sugar@theothermeissane or sugar@rivercrestcottage.com. There are plenty more reasons to get a domain. You do not lose anything on your blog.

  5. Great job Linda; you are such a talented lady, who blesses so many with her gifts. I've missed a few posts so have to read back and see what's going on with gallstones. I haven't had surgery, but know many who have and then end up with the same issues they had that caused the surgery. With all your experience I know you'll research it and be wise. Sending love your way.

    1. You should really think about it. If not a blog makeover, maybe get your own domain for $1.18, instead of having a long drawn out name with blogspot.com

  13. Linda, I think it's so nice of you to help your friends with their blog designs and such. I like to keep things simple, and Jess does most of our design work on the blog, as she has a degree in Interior Design. You are very organized and creative, and your house really shows that. So many wonderful ideas, and I look forward to some of your Christmas posts.
